This is one of the most important, sensitive and significant topics – which has unfortunately been relegated into an academic subject across Muslim world.
Everywhere we find champions of Quran, Hadees, Seerat, Sunnat……manifested through sects, manaazirahs, mubaahisahz, mubaahilahz, what and what not…
Nowhere do we find champions of acts…..
The lip service has ended us into closed, intolerant people, who do not want to open to discussion…. We’ve become champions of superficial information, volatile emotions and violent reactions.
Other than dreaming for a nation-state, Iqbal’s work on “reconstruction of religious thought in Islam” was his real, worthy work. We only made him a poet after all….
Same way, Dr Barq did wonderful researches… Well now it is buried under dust of our collective illiteracy of decades…
